What is pculiar?
It is a pculiar world we are living in.
Imagine if you went to a remote village somewhere and had the same options to eat, shop or experience services by the same providers that you have round the corner from your home?
If all bars, clubs and whatnot are owned by the same corporations? Why travel? Why go anywhere outside your place of residence?
We are here to study and experience the essence of travelling. Differentiation. We want to travel to experience a new culture, a new way of thinking than ours.
Yep, you have different landscapes maybe a huge mountain here, a great vista there, a volcano in a remote island, but to us, what really makes for a different experience are people. Different cultures is what immerses you to the quintessence of travelling.
This is that strikes us as odd. As pculiar.
What separates people for us is their culture, which is mainly defined by their traditions. Customs and traditional celebrations are the front end of culture.
What strikes to the visitor as pculiar, it is normal life to the local residents of each place.

This differentiation is what drives our passion as photographers to keep on making images. As any form of art, photography is a means of communicating the creator’s feelings to an audience.
